Well known to classical radio listeners in Chicago and nationwide for the past 25 years, Dennis Moore is an experienced radio host, music programmer, and producer of classical, jazz, and world music programs. He joined WFMT in 1990 and was the station’s Program Director from 1997 to 2004. Dennis is the host of WFMT's weekday Morning Program (6-10 AM Central, Monday through Friday). Chicago-area listeners can tune in at 98.7 FM; listeners anywhere can access the live stream at WFMT.com or via the WFMT app. 

 

Dennis has served as voice talent, producer, or director on a wide variety of broadcast projects, from the Grant Park, Ravinia, and Aspen festivals to performances by the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and Lyric Opera of Chicago. He was also the voice of the nationally syndicated Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Civic Orchestra broadcasts for a number of years, and he has given pre-concert lectures for the Grant Park Music Festival.  

 

As a pianist, Dennis frequently collaborates with his partner, violinist Sara Su Jones. In August 2018, they made their Lisbon, Portugal debut at the Aula Magna. Highlights of recent seasons include recitals in London and Reykjavik, as well as a live broadcast on WBEZ, Chicago's public-radio station. Prior collaborations include a recital on the main stage at Harpa (the home of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra) for an audience of more than 500, and recitals at the Residence of the US Ambassador in Reykjavik and at the US Embassy in Reykjavik. In recent seasons, they have given recitals at Preston Bradley Hall (Chicago Cultural Center), Ganz Hall, the Levin Performance Studio at WFMT, the University Club, the Nineteenth Century Club (Oak Park), the Chicago Temple, the Cliff Dwellers Club, and the Pritzker Auditorium at the Harold Washington Library Center, Chicago's main public library, as well as performances for the Lyric Opera of Chicago's Flossmoor Chapter and for the Musicians Club of Women. Dennis and Sara Su have also given recitals in California, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and Indiana, including performances at Harvard University and Phillips Academy, and a benefit recital at Pepperdine University.  See a list of their upcoming collaborations.
